Windermere School

Windermere is a picturesque community located on the east side of Lake Windermere and surrounded by the Purcell and Rocky Mountains.

Windermere Valley NurseryWindermere is also a prosperous growing community where approximately 65% of the homes on the east side of Lake Windermere are second homes. With the amount of new home subdivisions and many renovations, the Valley is well supported with local qualified trades people.

Easy Lake access makes Windermere a popular spot for fishing swimming, water skiing, windsurfing, hang-gliding and golf. Windermere, located 10 km south from Invermere features a variety of dining establishments, local pub, grocery store with postal outlet, elementary school, highway gasoline outlets, motel, B&B's, seasonal campgrounds, the Windermere Valley Nursery (picture), bowling alley and the Windermere Volunteer Fire Department.

Artists corner located in the heart of Windermere is a popular spot for tourists during the spring to fall season. Numerous of the original buildings still stand today and have been converted to beautiful homes.
